Although we’re a little late on the bandwagon for the 2020 posts, we thought we would share with you all our goals and aims for this New Year!

1.     Improve our website

Due to many unforeseen circumstances, our website has failed to be maintained properly, but with a new year and a new start, that will no longer continue! The website’s actual design may not change dramatically but we really hope to maintain the site with news about the group and articles written by group members.

2.     Increase our membership

LEAPS have attended many events over the past year and are eager to spread the word of our existence in order to encourage more people to come along to our meetings. LEAPS provide so many opportunities of help and support that we’re so eager to help as many people as possible. If you’re interested in joining visit the ‘JOIN LEAPS’ page.

3.     More fundraising

In the past, LEAPS have packed bags and received grants from a number of different organizations so this year we’d like to build on our experience and be a bit more creative about our fundraising. We have many projects that we can’t get off the ground without financial backing so we’ve set up a Go Fund Me account, which you can donate to here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/lunch-with-leaps

4.     Another therapeutic trip

In the past year LEAPS have had too many therapeutic trips to keep track of! We’ve been to South Shields, North Shields, Edinburgh, Alnmouth, Alnwick, Berwick-Upon-Tweed and tons more! Our members enjoy our outings so much because they find it nice to be away from the day-to-day stresses they have to contend with.

5.     More event attendances

LEAPS have attended a number of events recently and would like that to continue in 2020 so that we can spread the word about our work!
