Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, we were able to have a therapeutic trip to Alnmouth! When we arrived, however, we soon learnt that there wasn’t enough to do to take up the full day that we had planned so we took the fifteen-minute bus ride to Alnwick!
Here’s what our members had to say about the trip:
“I was pleased to get out of the area and with LEAPS because it helps my recovery. It helps me to do something that I wouldn’t normally have done if it weren’t for LEAPS” – Group Member
“It was a good day out. I really enjoyed it, the food was great and it helped me to get out of the house – something that I really needed to do!” – Assistant Secretary, Committee Member
“Alnwick was a nice surprise. I enjoyed doing some shopping in Alnwick and found the whole trip therapeutic and supportive” – Group Member
“I enjoyed the day out, especially going to the fishing museum and book shop in Alnwick! It was a welcome break from my daily routine and I couldn’t have done it without LEAPS” – Treasurer, Committee Member
“It was so great to go somewhere different with the group, It really helped us all to bond and I enjoyed shopping in Alnwick and walking along the beach at Alnmouth” – Chair, Committee Member
